Senate Banking Schedules Atkins’ Confirmation Hearing
On Thursday, March 27 at 10:00am ET the Senate Banking Committee plans to hold a nomination hearing for Paul Atkins to serve as Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). President Trump announced his intent to nominate Atkins on December 4, 2024, with the Senate Banking Committee receiving the nomination in January. Atkins previously served as an SEC Commissioner in the early 2000s and later formed Patomak Global Partners, which provides a variety of client services to crypto firms and other financial services entities. The hearing will also cover the nominations of Jonathan Gould to serve as the Comptroller of the Currency and Luke Pettit to serve as an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury.
