IAA Releases 2024 Investment Adviser Industry Snapshot

In June, the Investment Adviser Association (IAA) released its 2024 Investment Adviser Industry Snapshot which details data about the investment adviser industry. The report notes “continued growth in the number of asset management clients, with 56.7 million clients in 2023, a 4.4% increase over last year.” Assets under management (AUM) also grew last year, matching a 2021 record high of $128.4 trillion. Additionally, the number of advisers climbed for the twelfth year in a row. Advisers with less than $1 billion in assets accounted for almost all the new SEC registrations.
