Event of Interest: Issues with Access to Reliable ESG Data

On Tuesday, October 25, the law firm Ropes & Gray plans to host a webinar entitled, “The quest for reliable ESG data: Finding credible sources in the market today – and an agenda to produce common data standards.” Investors and fund complexes increasingly rely on ESG ratings and data providers to fulfill their ESG informational needs. However, many believe the current system lacks sufficient transparency and trust. The panel will discuss whether these concerns regarding the quality and reliability of ESG data have merit and possible market-based and regulatory approaches for addressing these concerns.
