Commissioner Jackson to Step Down in February

According to several media sources SEC Commissioner Robert Jackson will leave for an academic post at New York University School of law on February 14. The Wall Street Journal reports that Senate Democrats have asked that Jackson be replaced by Caroline Crenshaw, a staff attorney in Jackson’s office. Crenshaw, according to Reuters, has been employed at the SEC since 2013, is a judge advocate in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and worked under former SEC Commissioner Kara Stein.
