Wyderko Announces Retirement from MFDF

Susan Ferris Wyderko, who has led the Mutual Fund Directors Forum since 2006, announced that she will be retiring in the fall of 2020. “It has been a tremendous honor to lead this organization for the past 13 years,” said Wyderko. “When I became Executive Director of the Forum in 2006, the fund industry was radically different from today. Entirely new product categories have emerged within the fund space to respond to shifting investor needs, and concurrent changes in the regulatory environment have brought new requirements and new scrutiny at the same time.” Prior to joining the Forum as Executive Director in 2006, Wyderko held various senior positions at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, including the Director of the Office of Investor Education and Assistance, as well as the Acting Director of the Division of Investment Management. Kay Dryden, the Chair of the Forum, lauded Wyderko’s accomplishments. “Through Susan’s outstanding efforts the Forum has enhanced its role as a highly respected voice in the industry and an indispensable resource for independent directors who protect the interests of fund investors.” The Mutual Fund Directors Forum is an independent, non-profit organization that serves independent directors of U.S. funds with a current membership of over 1075 independent directors, representing 137 mutual fund groups.
