Former Stein Aide Eyed for Commissioner Spot
Allison Lee, a former SEC enforcement lawyer and aide to Commissioner Kara Stein, might be nominated to replace Stein when she steps down later this year. The Wall Street Journal reports that Lee, a corporate governance consultant, was recommended by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. Lee worked at the SEC for over a decade in the Denver office and in Washington as a legal adviser to Stein from 2013 to 2015. Lee’s spouse is a member of the PCAOB.
