SEC Extends Filing Deadlines in Wake of Hurricane Sandy

The SEC has announced that it will extend filing deadlines for those affected by Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath.   Deadlines from October 29th to November 20th will be extended, likely until November 21st.  The relief will apply to any individual or entity, including investment companies, that have a filing obligation and cannot file timely due to Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath.  The SEC staff has also said it will consider requests for additional relief on a case-by-case basis.
