SEC Cancels Meeting to Discuss Liquidity Rule Revisions

The SEC abruptly canceled a meeting it announced last week to discuss revising the compliance date for certain provisions of the liquidity rule, among other items. According to a report in Politico Pro, the quick cancellation suggests that SEC Chairman Jay Clayton is facing political tumult over revising the rules. The SEC has not commented publicly on the meeting cancellation.
