Report Says SEC’s Enforcement Division Limiting Expenditures, Preparing for Budget Cuts

A Bloomberg report says that the Enforcement Division of the SEC is reining in spending by banning non-essential travel, imposing a hiring freeze and limiting use of outside contractors who assist SEC lawyers with cases. The report says that the division is bracing for deep funding cuts in President Trump’s budget proposal.
