James Polisson

Mr. Polisson has been a Trustee of the Allspring Funds since 2018 and Nominating and Governance Chair since 2024. Prior to his Trustee role, Mr Polisson was the Chief Marketing Officer at Source (ETF) UK Services (now Invesco), from 2015 to 2017. From 2012 to 2015, he was head of The Polisson Group, LLC, a management consulting, corporate advisory and principal investing company.  Mr Polisson was the CEO and Managing Director of the Russell Investments Exchange Traded Funds business from 2010 to 2012.  And, Mr Polisson was a Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer for iShares and Barclays Global Investors (now BlackRock) from 1998 to 2010. Earlier in his career, he worked at Fidelity Investments and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  He began his career as a Captain in the US Air Force.  His previous Board roles include:  Trustee of the San Francisco Mechanics’ Institute, a non-profit organization, from 2013 to 2015; Board member of the Russell Exchange Traded Fund Trust from 2011 to 2012; and, Director of Barclays Global Investors Holdings Deutschland GmbH from 2006 to 2009. Mr. Polisson has a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.  Mr. Polisson is an attorney and has a retired status with the Massachusetts and District of Columbia Bar Associations.
