S. Joyce Li

Joyce Li, CFA, is CEO of Averanda Partners, where she advises business executives and board leaders on the intersection of AI, finance, and governance. She has nearly two decades of investment management experience, including as a mutual fund portfolio manager at Matthews International Capital Management. Joyce co-authored the Athena Alliance AI Governance Playbook and was recognized as a "Top AI Voice" on LinkedIn in 2024. She publishes the "AI Simplified for Leaders" newsletter focused on strategic insights for leaders. A past Board President of the CFA Society San Francisco, Joyce serves on the advisory board of OpenBB, an investment research and analytics AI platform. She holds an MBA  (Palmer Scholar) from the Wharton School and a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Virginia.
