Fran Cashman

Fran Cashman is an experienced trustee and global CEO. Currently, an independent director on the Morgan Stanley Funds Board, Fran has over 30 years of experience building asset management, capital markets and more recently information services businesses under public, PLC and private equity governance structures.

Most recently, CEO of Asset Management at Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC (now Delinian), she managed a portfolio of global businesses including BCA Research, NDR and Institutional Investor with nearly 400 employees in the US, Canada, UK, Europe and Asia.

Earlier, Fran held numerous leadership roles at Legg Mason, an $800 billion asset manager, including Global Head of Marketing and Communications, serving as a member of the Executive Committee, intersecting with the corporate board and setting brand and communications strategy worldwide. She spent her early career in sales in fixed income and asset management including serving as Co-Head of US sales.

Fran is a trustee of the Georgia Tech Foundation Board and a member of C200, an invitation only organization of women executives and entrepreneurs. She was educated as a chemical engineer, began her career in banking and capital markets and has served on a number of non-profit boards throughout her career.
