Webinar Archive: Impact of New US Sanctions on Publicly Traded Securities of Communist Chinese Military Companies

Darshak Dholakia, a partner in Dechert’s International Trade and Government Regulation group, will provide an overview of the new US sanctions that impose restrictions on publicly traded securities of so-called Communist Chinese military companies and securities that are derivative of, or designed to provide investment exposure to, such publicly traded securities. The new measures, which were imposed through Executive Order 13959 issued in November 2020, will begin taking effect this month. Darshak also will discuss the impact of recent guidance issued by the US Government on the new measures as well as the compliance steps being taken by mutual funds and other financial services companies.
