In Focus: Small Boards' Use of Skills Matrices
Skills matrices can be a useful tool for boards to visualize and compare qualifications of directors and/or candidates. Considerations for using a skills matrix within smaller board groups may differ somewhat from larger board groups. Building on the Visually Mapping Board Composition: Skills Matrices in Fund Board Rooms webinar, this discussion-based In Focus meeting will examine uses of skills matrices specifically by boards consisting of fewer than six directors. Diane Armstrong, Chair of the Boston Trust Walden Funds’ board, and Michael Wible, Partner at Thompson Hine, will offer insights from small fund board rooms on factors that may influence how and when the use of skills matrices may improve efficiency or effectiveness with a small group of directors.
This virtual discussion event will take place on Zoom on January 22, 2025 at 1 pm (ET).
This program is open ONLY to current fund directors and CCOs of registered funds.
