Risk has an outsized impact on the ability of small groups to work effectively together. It also impacts how those our organizations depend upon for all forms of capital view us. Yet, it is one o the most misunderstood concepts, especially when the focus of discussion about risk is solely on compliance or the threat of loss.

During this In Focus session, David R. Koenig, President and Chief Executive Officer of the DCRO Risk Governance Institute and author of both Governance Reimagined: Organizational Design, Risk, and Value Creation, and The Board Member’s Guide to Risk, and Lorraine Hendrickson, Independent Trustee of Lord Abbett Alternative Funds Board will lead us in a discussion of how boards can better understand their individual and collective risk personalities, the role that perceived risk plays in determining whether clients and other capital providers will engage our organizations and steps boards can take to improve their performance and reduce the overall cost of acquiring capital with this knowledge.

This virtual discussion event will take place on Zoom on September 26, 2024 at 11 am (ET).
