In December 2015, the SEC issued a long awaited proposal regarding fund use of derivatives. The SEC proposes a new regulatory regime for fund use of derivatives that would call upon fund boards to undertake new responsibilities. Alison Fuller, a partner at Stradley Ronon, will provide an overview of the proposal, highlighting the intended role for fund boards if the rules are ultimately adopted.
