The FSOC continues to put pressure on the SEC to adopt fundamental money market fund reform. The FSOC in November issued a proposal outlining its options for reform. The proposal comes amid questions about the breadth of the FSOC’s authority with respect to money market funds as well uncertainty at the SEC following the announced departure of SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro. Dechert partners Robert Ledig and Jack Murphy discussed the proposal and what the options, if ultimately adopted by the SEC, may mean for mutual fund directors.
This webinar aired live from 2:00 to 3:00 Eastern time on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.
