5463   “Beating;” “Tracking;” “Hugging;” or “Not Caring”: What to do with Benchmarks? 30 Jul 2:00PM 3:00PM July Tuesday 17 2018

Benchmarks seem simple: active funds are supposed to exceed them, and passive funds match them. The reality in the board room is more complicated. Directors see performance measured against multiple benchmarks, blended benchmarks, as well as risk and factor-based benchmarks, over various time periods, with different definitions of risk attached. Paul Ellenbogen and Jeff Tjornehoj with Broadridge Financial Solutions will aim to provide some clarity around where and why benchmarks are used by those who evaluate mutual funds, how benchmarks relate to the categories and classifications used to rate funds, and what directors can do to cut through the complexity of benchmark proliferation, variation, and interpretation.

This webinar will be broadcast live from 2:00 to 3:00 Eastern time on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.
